Fiona Moon is a blade, a prestigious/kickass cop who keeps the streets safe from evil paranormals. She is assigned a mission to find out where and why girls are being kidnapped around town. This is fine and all, except her partner is Ian Barroes. Fiona hates the man, but the sexual attraction between them has always been more sparked up than lightening.
This book is your stereotypical urban fantasy. The world building is nothing we haven't seen. In fact, it's too too common. We've got the incredibly hot male partner who the female can't stands at first, but then ends up having hot steamy sex with, a more than stereotypical plot that includes kidnapped girls, and stupid decisions main character makes that leads to her capture, etc, etc. At points I was rolling my eyes at the sheer lack of originality. All in all, a good read, but nothing special or different about Fiona Moon or any of the characters for that matter.
