My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I've been meaning to read this one for years and I don't know why I waited so long.
I'm not really sure how to write a review that explain the genius that is Laini Taylor's story telling ability. It's a story of gods, monsters, and heroes with a weird way of making all three synonymous.
I was utterly taken with the Lost City of Wheep. It is what every dreamer wishes to stumble upon. A lost story, found, an adventure, myth turned real.
The main characters are beautiful in their hesitations and growing confidence. In their desperate need to understand and be understood.
-Lazlo is every reader, every dreamer fulfilled. His story will resonate with you and your need for escape for the oridnary.
-Sarai is all of us who wish for more than what we've been given. An open mind with desperate hopes for a world beyond her menagerie
-Minya...what bitch.
I'll leave it that because the the threads of the story should be unraveled by you.
