5 stars
I know, I know, the cover is shitty, but I SWEAR IT'S A GOOD BOOK!!!!
I don't know what I really expected going it this. I wasn't expected it to be one of my favorite books of all time, that's for sure.
Mac, a girly girl who's sister has been murdered has finally decided to get some answers. Off to Ireland she goes- the place of her sister's murder. There, she comes in contact with an incredible world that she never knew existed. Fae, monsters, and something of a prophecy of sorts.
There she meets THE ALPHA MALE OF ALL ALPHA MALES. Jericho Barrons. A book shop keeper. GOD HE IS STEAMY. He is... not human? Human? Mac doesn't really know and Barrons isn't about to tell her. He does, however grudgingly, help her find some answers and get her situated. Oh, he also yells at her a lot, but that's understandable. Mac is kind dumb at times. BUT THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE WE ALL WOULD BE IF WE WERE THROWN INTO THE SITUATIONS MAC IS.
Seriously, just give this book a shot. It's got enough smut to get your inner romantic raging, lots of action, and just overall a good read that I for one will be reading again sometime soon.
It may help to know that there are 5 books in the series and they get better with time. In fact, this one was my least favorite and it still gets a solid 5 stars. What does that tell you about the other 4?
